Professional Bio
Sean Bruich (pronounced "brew-ICK") is the Senior Vice President, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data at Amgen, a leading biotechnology company. There, Sean is responsible for leading Amgen's efforts in accelerating the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the advancement of data sciences across the enterprise.
Sean previously led Nike’s insights, data science, and analytics functions globally, encompassing Nike’s research, analytics, and data science efforts around the world. Sean’s teams specialized in data science and machine learning & AI systems; measurement and marketing science; retail, digital, and operational analytics; supply chain optimization and inventory forecasting, and consumer, market, and product research.
Prior to Nike, Sean’s work focused on developing novel data science capabilities and translating them into business impact through product development and commercial partnerships. Sean launched and led measurement science and data partnerships at Facebook (now Meta) and while at Google, he led global customer research & analytics efforts.
Sean holds numerous patents related to data science, marketing measurement, and consumer privacy. Sean previously served on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Research Foundation, and served a three year term as the chair of the board of directors at the Marketing Science Institute. He's a frequent lecturer at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and other top universities and business school programs.
Sean studied Psychology/Neuroscience and Biological Sciences at Stanford University, where his research utilized emerging brain imaging technologies.
Outside of work, Sean has interests in supporting queer stories in film, fitness, and cocktails.
