LGBT+ Film Projects

Sean is passionate about supporting & elevating LGBT+ stories, especially in film. Historically, on-screen representation of LGBT+ characters and their stories has been limited and diminished, from outright censorship (in Hollywood, between 1934 and 1968) to stereotypically prejudiced portrayals. From the serious to the silly, Sean believes that elevating these often untold stories has an important impact on our cultural discourse. For this reason, Sean has translated his interest in this topic to several projects in-flight, which are detailed below.

Portland Queer Documentary Film Festival

Sean is a major sponsor of QDoc, the only film festival in the U.S. devoted specifically to queer documentaries.

There's a Zombie Outside Film

Sean is an executive producer of this award-winning queer zombie horror film, which has been accepted to a number of film festivals in 2024. Written & directed by Michael Varrati, it stars Ben Baur.
