SEAN BRUICH

Sean Bruich is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, where he leads enterprise technology capabilities across AI, data, digital product, software engineering, and user experience design.

Sean is a technology executive, data scientist, and AI/ML leader whose career has followed the frontier of emerging technology and data. His work is grounded in a belief that the most important opportunities often appear where new technologies create new kinds of data, new capabilities, and new ways to understand complex systems.

That perspective has taken him from cognitive science and neuroimaging research at Stanford to early data science leadership at Google and Facebook, global leadership in insights, analytics, data science, and AI/ML at Nike, and now enterprise technology leadership in biotechnology. Across these roles, Sean has built and led technical organizations through major shifts in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, digital products, and enterprise-scale technology transformation.

Beyond his professional work, Sean is passionate about design, architecture, and film, with a particular interest in midcentury modern spaces and the amplification of underrepresented voices, including LGBT+ stories.
